Quyang No. 4 Primary School lately gave a show for its 30th Anniversary, gathering more than 600 teachers and students. In the forms of dance, chorus, student interview, storytelling, recitation and drama show, students demonstrated the school’s achievements in sci-tech, art and psychological health promotion. Present at the event were Hua Dongping, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Hongkou District People’s Congress, and Yao Zongqiang, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Charity Foundation.
Quyang No. 4 Primary School is an experimental school of quality-oriented education in Shanghai, approved by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. Under the guidance of the school-running idea of “promoting theoretical and practical capabilities and physical and mental health”, the school shows two school-running characteristics: psychological guidance and sci-tech education; with three innovative labs in Shanghai designed, namely, Ancient Chinese Ship Building, Dream Train and Soul Support Station, the school makes the first “children’s club on campus” in the district. In recent years, the school is thriving with quality-oriented education and has trained a lot of students good at chess, robot making and dance.
