With the increase of temperature, the housekeeping demand has increased accordingly. It is a troublesome business to “find an aunt” as the employer hopes that the “aunt” not only is familiar with housework but also has a good character. For the convenience of local residents to find an “aunt”, Ouyang Road Sub-district has set up an “Ouyang Housekeeping Service” to guard the first pass for the residents and help them find the most suitable “aunt”.
Lately, reporter came to the Ouyang Community Service Center when the staff of the Housekeeping Service was registering the individual information of two housekeepers from Anhui Province. Apart from verifying the identity by swiping the identity card, the applicant should fill in a registration form to state clearly his/her address, health status, housework specialty, etc. What’s more, every housekeeper should have a guarantor. A staff of Ouyang Housekeeping Service introduced, “Two kinds of persons can issue the Certificate of Guarantor. One is the former employers of housekeepers and the other is senior personnel in the Housekeeping Service.”
At present, Ouyang Housekeeping Service has registered altogether 174 “aunts” and will recommend appropriate “aunt” to the resident according to his/her requirements. Grandma Liu living in the West Dalian Road Community at Lane 195 West Dalian Road has found a “live-in aunt” through Ouyang Housekeeping Service. Grandma Liu’s husband suffers from dementia and his state is getting increasingly severe. As a result, Grandma Liu is unable to look after her husband as she would wish. As she needs a live-in aunt, Grandma Liu does not trust the social agency. When she heard about the Housekeeping Service, she feels relieved in employing the aunt recommended by it. Currently, the live-in aunt Wang puts everything in the house in order every day and takes care of the daily life of Grandma Liu and her husband. And Grandma Liu is very satisfied.
