After 13 years' absence, Aisi Park, located on 499 Helen Road, is opened again on the Children's Day. The park, firstly opened to the public in 1955, was once the largest children's park in Shanghai, and made sweet memories for many people's childhoods. It had to be closed due to the construction of Metro Line 4 at the end of 2001. Now, 13 years have passed, and residents around the park are eager for its re-opening.
The district landscaping department introduced that the renovation of the park started in May last year, still maintaining children's characteristics. Now, the park covers an area of 24,000 square meters, and it has two children's amusement areas for both infants and children. Besides, some children's leisure facilities have been installed in the park, such as slide, seesaw, and the brave road. The renovation also considers a lot of details like chairs and trash cans for the children.
