This week is the best time for citizens to appreciate cherry blossoms in Lu Xun Park. There are nearly 700 cherry blossom trees with 15 varieties in the park, and the most representative one is “Someiyoshino” being transplanted from Ueno Park, Tokyo. Wu Gang, Director of Lu Xun Park, said that Ueno Park, as the most renowned place for appreciating cherry blossoms in Tokyo, boasts of more than 1,300 cherry blossom trees.
It is estimated that this week until April 6 will be the best time for appreciating cheery blossoms. Apart from “Someiyoshino” from Ueno Park, citizens will also see cherry blossom of other 14 varieties in Lu Xun Park. Most of these cherry blossom trees are located near the exit of Metro Line 8, the lawn near the foot of Bei-da-shan (near Zhu Qizhan Art Museum) and the Sino-Japanese Friendship Clock Seat.
