The Hongkou District People's Procuratorate has launched the "Prosecutorial Protection of Enterprises" initiative and introduced 20 measures aimed at safeguarding legal rights and supporting business development.
The special action aims to create a law-abiding business environment and support high-quality economic and social development.
The district's procuratorate has formed a leadership group for this initiative and developed the "Hongxin Assistance for Business 20 Measures" to ensure prosecutorial duties effectively serve the regional development agenda.
The plan focuses on critical sectors such as education, circulation, and finance. It strictly punishes crimes that undermine the market economy and intensifies judicial protection of intellectual property rights.
Continuous efforts will be made to strengthen the supervision of civil and administrative cases involving businesses and enhance oversight of criminal cases that intersect with business issues, effectively safeguarding the property rights and interests of the enterprises involved.
Various government bodies, including the district’s procuratorate, federation of industry and commerce, court, police and tax authorities, jointly released a guide to combat tax-related illegal and criminal activities as well as resolves tax-related operational risks.
Additionally, a memorandum of cooperation was signed among the bodies to further strengthen the collaboration among government agencies in the field of corporate tax collection and management.
The effort aims to ensure a balance between enforcement and protection, combine ongoing and post-event supervision with preventive measures, and further safeguarde the national tax collection order.
The procuratorate hosted an open day for company representatives. Tax and prosecutorial authorities explained invoice management standards, enterprise compliance work, and related cases.
