A few days ago, the "2022 China-Japan Entrepreneurs Roundtable" was held in Sinar Mas Plaza at the North Bund. Representatives of Chinese and Japanese firms got together to seek development. Chen Shuai, Deputy Governor of Hongkou District, delivered a speech.
During the keynote speech, the representative of Kose Cosmetics Sales (China) Co., Ltd. introduced the regional headquarters of the multinational company located in Hongkou to the other representatives.
Entering China in 1988, Kose Cosmetics has cultivated the Chinese market for 34 years, and experienced a business model transformation from "made in China" to "introduction of Japanese imported brands". Meanwhile, as an enterprise deeply rooted in the Chinese market, Kose Cosmetics also practices its social responsibility in China by participating in public welfare activities.
Shanghai Shanggang Yingdong Trading Co., Ltd., which also choses to locate its headquarters at the North Bund, is a Sino-Japanese joint venture. Shanggang Yingdong's original intention was to build a transnational trade highway between China and Japan. Its main business scope includes the import and export, wholesale and sales of food, daily chemicals, fresh food and medical products. The trade volume in 2022 is expected to exceed 400 million yuan.
It is reported that Japanese enterprises are the backbone of foreign enterprises in Hongkou District. A number of Japanese multinational enterprises, such as Shanghai Branch of Panasonic Electric (China) Co., Ltd., Kose Cosmetics, MOL (China) Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Branch of Ouluxi (China) Industrial Holding Co., Ltd., have landed in Hongkou, becoming an important driving force for the external circulation of the regional economy in Hongkou.
